The Cardiff Kids’ Academy at Cardiff International White Water took delivery of a whole load new Palm gear this weekend. Rocket jackets, Sport spraydecks, FX PFDs and Colt paddles, so that everyone can be in the latest colours and kit this summer!
The Kids’ Academy is a club for youngsters to try out kayaking and whitewater. With the amazing facilities at Cardiff, they can start in inflatables on the lake and progress to small four cumec releases on the whitewater course. It’s just like a ‘lazy river’ ride, but you’re in charge of your own boat. Then there’s a bunch of sit-in kayaks for them to use, Dagger Axioms, just the right size for kids, as they progress … and by the end of the summer they’re showing everyone how it’s done on eight and ten cumec releases with the whitewater at full power.
